Jay
Calderin runs a Boston-based coaching practice called The Image Coach,
which focuses primarily on
strategies for personal and professional development for individuals and
businesses.
His extensive
background in fashion & costume design, photography, journalism, event
production, television production, and magazine publishing give him a
unique focus as The Image Coach. His coaching practice primarily focuses
on image strategies for personal and professional development for
individuals and businesses. As a part of his practice he conducts 'open
forum coaching' and authors a monthly column called 'The Image Coach'
for the Newbury Street & Back Bay Guide.
Jay Calderin
founded fashionWEEK BOSTON in 1995 and serves as the program’s executive
director. As an educator he has taught a wide variety of fashion courses
at the Lasell Institute for Fashion Technology and Burdett College. In
his capacity as an instructor and the Director of Creative Marketing for
the School of Fashion Design he has been instrumental in re-building the
school's brand in addition to developing a program of special events
celebrating the institution's 70th anniversary. He has also lectured at
the Massachusetts College of Art and conducts regular workshops at the
Boston Center for Adult Education.
His diverse body
of design & photographic work has been featured in numerous venues and
publications including the Boston Public Library, the Boston Center for
the Arts, the “Boston Globe,” “Vogue,” “Elle,” “Where Magazine-Boston”,
“Boston Event Guide,” “Newbury Street & Back Bay Guide and Platinum
Magazine.” Jay was the fashion editor of the Style Eye page for Digital
City Boston on America On Line, covering Boston fashion, arts &
lifestyles. He currently serves as the Boston Event Guide's Art Director
helping to create the overall corporate identity for their magazine,
website and special events.
Calderin is
currently working on his first book on coaching. |
